Italy’s leasing giant Leasint has won a
large renewable energy deal with Enel Green Power, part of Italian
energy provider Enel Group.

The overall investment will be €119m for
two wind farms to be built in Calabria, southern Italy. The
contract length is 216 months.

Each wind farm will have a power of
56.8mw, enough for the energy needs of 60,000 households.

Leasint, which is part of Intesa
Sanpaolo banking group, has developed a dedicated product for
renewable energy leasing, called Leasenergy.

In June, Intesa Sanpaolo and the
European Investment Bank (EIB) agreed a funding line of €680m aimed
at renewable energy projects of small and medium-sized
enterprises.
