The Leasing Foundation has added a further
five members to its board, bringing the total number of governors
to 20.

George Ashworth, MD of asset finance at
Aldermore, Richard Carter, HSBC Bank’s head of equipment finance,
John Hooper, executive director of National Australia Bank UK, Mary
McNamara CEO of Close Brothers’ commercial division and Ronald
Slaats, CEO and chairman at De Lage Landen have all joined the

Tarun Mistry, director of the Foundation,
said: “With the addition of these leading figures in the industry
to our group of governors, the Leasing Foundation is building an
outstanding community of individuals. We will announce both our
final governors, and the first of our Founding Fellows, in the
coming weeks – which means we are ready to go to work on our
mission of research, giving and industry development.”

The Leasing Foundation was
launched by Andrew Denton of CHP Consulting and Derek Soper of
IAA-Advisory in July, aiming to follow a “mission of philanthropy,
research and professional development”, and the board currently
comprises leading industry professionals and academics.
