The total value of finance provided by the Hungarian leasing sector increased by 6.5% year-on-year in the first nine months of 2015 to HUF 329bn (€1.05bn), according to the Hungarian leasing association.

"This also means that in the first nine months of the year amounted to HUF 1.22bn per day were placed in the leasing companies on average, compared with HUF 1.14bn a year earlier," the association wrote.

Over this period the association’s members concluded a total of 55,800 new contracts, an increase of 6.2% compared to the previous year.

The nine-month data also showed that the passenger cars, light trucks and motorcycles parts market grew to HUF 98bn, up 18% year-on-year. The fleet segment of the market grew by 21.2% to HUF 57bn, while the market for large trucks and buses grew by 5%.
