The UK Finance and Leasing Association (FLA) has named Simon Goldie as the next head of Asset Finance, effective 6 May 2014.
Goldie will replace Julian Rose, who announced his intention to step down from the position as head of Asset Finance in February after nearly six years in the job.

Commenting on his appointment, Goldie said he was delighted, adding: "The industry has made a real difference to the growth prospects of private and public businesses of all sizes and I look forward to helping it continue to do so."
Goldie has previously worked at the Chartered institute of Taxation as head of external relations and at the Association of Consultancy and Engineering as director of policy and external affairs.
Outside of the public policy arena, he has worked as head of PR in the UK for computer assisted research provided Lexis Nexis.
