Lease insurance provider Acquis Insurance Management has appointed Julien Gautier as European business development manager as the firm targets expansion on the continent.
Gautier has 12 years’ experience in the insurance industry including roles with NFU Mutual and with Great American Lease & Loan Insurance Services.

Nick Leader, business development director at Acquis, said Gautier’s appointment reflected a growing appetite for Acquis’ products in continental Europe.
"Julien has been tasked with supporting our existing clients, helping them to maximise the benefit from their insurance programmes, plus assisting them as they look to place more business with Acquis. He is also focusing on sourcing new business from European lessors not yet working with Acquis," said Leader.
He added geographical expansion was "key" for Acquis in 2014 and said the firm currently works with more than 30 funders across six European countries and expects be live in at least 10 countries by the end of the year.
