This is the second such contract for CLM in a
fortnight following its appointment
to manage the fleet of equipment company Arco
.

Peel said it received proposals from a variety
of companies but would not comment on any failed bids, saying CLM
was appointed with the aim of reducing the company’s carbon
footprint, lowering company and employee tax bills and cutting
operating costs.

Lower emissions targets will be achieved
through the acquisition of more hybrid cars and by the introduction
of new carbon caps for different car grades as well as actively
promoting low carbon-emitting vehicles in company car choice lists,
a spokesperson for Peel said.

Dale Mullane, head of procurement at Peel,
said the changes would reduce benefit-in-kind tax bills, NI
contributions and fuel costs as well as reducing carbon
emissions.
