Martin Mudersbach will serve as president of the Federal Association of German Leasing companies (BDL) for another three years, after being unanimously re-elected by the General Assembly. Mudersbach is the chief executive officer of AKF Bank.
The assembly also re-elected Thomas Kolvenbach (COMCO Leasing) and Kai Ostermann (German Leasing AG) as vice presidents.

The board elections also confirmed the previous directors Jochen Jehmlich (GEFA-Leasing GmbH), Frederik Linthout (UniCredit Leasing), Michael Mohr (abcfinance), Jürgen Mossakowski (CHG-MERIDIAN AG) and Martin Starck (LBBW Leasing). While Benedikt Schell (Mercedes-Benz Bank AG) and Martin More God (MAN Financial Services) were elected to be part of the board for the first time.
Following the election, Mudersback said that the medium-sized structure of the industry is a key to the success of the German leasing industry and a guarantee of the reliable partnership with the SME sector. He said that the association will continue to stress to politicians and regulators the importance of SMEs, in order to prevent overregulation and unnecessary burdens for these companies.
