Approximately 60 participants convened at the Mobility Hub of Arval in Houten, Utrecht province. Shereen Faroqui from FIS, an event sponsor, commenced the afternoon by sharing her career journey.

This was followed by a panel discussion featuring senior executives Leonoor Koomen (ING), Catherine Meyers (DLL), and Marieke van Zuien (BNP Paribas), who discussed their professional development and perspectives on overcoming the glass ceiling. According to a posting on Leasing Nederland-NVL, attendees were told that the glass ceiling is often a mental barrier and were encouraged to discard their self-doubts.
Post-debate, attendees broke into smaller groups to delve into the event’s themes. These discussions were led by industry leaders Mirjam Bakker (ABN Amro), Marlous de Groot (CMS), Susan Jansen (Beequip), Petra Jansen op de Haar (Hiltermann), Eline Kaai (Arval), Eline Kamerbeek (Beequip), along with the earlier panellists.
In a social media postscript to the event, Faroqui highlighted inclusion and mentorship as two vital strategies for women to support one another in overcoming obstacles in a male-dominated leasing industry. She described the event as a perfect blend of these two elements.
