CIT Group has named Jon Singleton as European programme director
for its vendor finance partnership with computer supplier
Lenovo.

Singleton will be responsible for developing
Lenovo Financial Services (LFS) programme strategy and execution
within CIT across Europe.

He has more than 25 years’ experience in
vendor finance. Most recently, he was European programme director
for Apple Financial Services at GE Capital Solutions, where he was
responsible for the launch and expansion of the programme through
11 European countries.

Prior to that, he worked for a number of
European leasing companies including Heller Global Vendor Finance,
Dana Commercial Credit and Lloyds Bowmaker.

Vendor Finance Europe, said: “Given our emphasis on building
long-term, integrated relationships with our program partners it
was important for us to secure a highly experienced program
director”.  

CIT recently announced the launch of the LFS
programme in the UK, France and Germany in 2010, with additional
countries in Western Europe in 2011.
