Asset finance software and consulting company CHP Consulting has appointed Robert Johnson as global head of Automotive Finance.
Johnson has worked in financial services for more than 21 years, primarily supporting the automotive finance sector, and has experience in software assessment, development, implementation and process improvement. He joins from professional services firm Ernst & Young.

Johnson will lead CHP’s global automotive finance practice from the US and will support clients, implementations of CHP’s ALFA Systems software suite and sales and marketing, as well as providing insight and direction on product development.
CHP said Johnson’s appointment to the newly created role will "amplify" the firm’s presence in the auto finance market, particularly in the US.
Steve Taplin, CHP’s global sales director, said he was delighted to welcome Johnson and added: "We’re very proud of our track record, and adding Bob’s own prestigious background to ours reinforces that we are fully committed to expanding our automotive finance capabilities."
Johnson said ALFA Systems was a "quality product", "a leader for years in the equipment leasing sector", and would be "an excellent alternative for what currently exists in the US and global automotive finance markets."
