BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions has taken a major step in its digital modernisation journey by successfully deploying a new originations platform in Italy, developed in partnership with fintech provider Odessa. The launch represents the first phase of a broader initiative to digitise leasing operations across key European markets.
The Italy implementation is part of a modular rollout strategy that will soon extend to six additional countries: France, the Netherlands, Spain, Germany, Belgium, and the United Kingdom.

According to Ralph Crockett, Chief Operating Officer at BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions, the platform’s configurability allows the company to “better serve all our stakeholders with greater efficiency,” adding that the team is “excited to continue our collaboration with Odessa.”
A subsidiary of BNP Paribas, the leasing arm works closely with equipment manufacturers and distribution networks to deliver tailored leasing and rental solutions. The new platform, built on Odessa’s asset-centric architecture, is designed to meet complex partner requirements while enhancing user experience and enabling data-driven decision-making. It also integrates seamlessly with BNP Paribas’ private cloud infrastructure and adheres to the group’s rigorous compliance standards.
Programme Manager Pascal Crocq, who led the implementation in Italy, noted that the team is currently focused on three core modules: Assets, Quotation, and the Financial Calculation Engine. He praised Odessa’s adaptability, saying it’s been “a pleasure working with a flexible platform and a knowledgeable team.”
Odessa CEO Joe Juliano emphasised the long-term nature of the partnership, stating, “We’re proud to support BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions in delivering a superior user experience… this is the beginning of a long-term partnership.”
