BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions UK has appointed its HR director to the board.
In her role as a board member, Rachel Appleton will have joint oversight of the business strategy whilst also retaining her long-held position as HR director.

Appleton has been with the business since 2001 when she joined the newly established technology finance division as operations director. Following 12 years in that role, she was appointed HR director, bringing with her over 25 years’ experience in the asset finance industry.
During her time in HR, Appleton has been responsible for aligning the UK business with the global HR strategy, said BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions UK. She has introduced a leadership programme and also implemented a successful talent programme that recognises potential future leaders and assigns them tasks to develop business acumen.

In March BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions appointed a key account manager for healthcare leasing.
Ian Swindell has extensive relationship management experience in the financial services industry. He joins the business from Siemens Financial Services where he held the position of account development manager, working directly with brokers and vendors to maximise new business opportunities in sectors including energy and commercial vehicles.
