Aldermore Bank has appointed Glyn Jones to the position of chairman after a long career in banking and fund management.
During his career, Jones has been the chief executive of the Coutts Group and general manager of private banking at Standard Chartered Bank as well as chairman of Hermes Fund Managers, Towry Holdings and BT Pension Scheme Management.

At present Jones holds the chair at speciality insurance provider Aspen Insurance Holdings and its UK subsidiary Aspen Insurance UK, as well as being a senior independent director of Direct Line Insurance.

Aldermore has been on a hiring spree in 2014, recruiting for senior positions in materials handling and structured finance among others, and appointed Carl D’Ammassa as managing director in September last year.
