Acquis, the asset finance insurance provider, has opened a new office in Paris as part of its plans to expand in the French leasing and asset finance market, according to a press release.

The company said the move reflects its “commitment to being close to our French clients” and builds on more than ten years of commercial activity in the country. Acquis cited increasing demand from French businesses for leasing as a way to preserve cash flow when investing in new equipment.

A recent Acquis study found that 43% of French companies now view leasing or asset finance as their main source of funding, up ten percentage points from 2023.

To lead the new office, Acquis has appointed Frédéric Guez as Regional Manager France & Benelux. Guez, previously President of Assurera, will oversee business development across France, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg. Reporting to European Sales Director Martin Lehnert, his role will include developing local teams and managing strategic partnerships, the press release said.

In addition, Cyrille Mascaud has been named Head of Sales France, with responsibility for new market opportunities and relationships with finance and leasing companies.

Commenting on the development, Lehnert said the Paris office underlines Acquis’ aim of supporting “rapidly evolving needs in a demanding economic environment” while strengthening ties with local and international clients.
