Acquis, an asset finance insurance provider, has strengthened its presence in Europe by appointing Alexander Nielsen as Country Manager for Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH).
Nielsen was recruited to develop business across the German-speaking markets and reports to Martin Lehnert, European Sales Director at Acquis’ European headquarters in Amsterdam.

Nielsen brings more than 25 years’ experience in the leasing sector, having worked in and with the industry since 1999. He joined Acquis from Creditreform in Neuss, where he had been Senior Sales Manager and managed key relationships with leasing companies. In that role he also represented Creditreform at the German Federal Association of Leasing Companies (BDL).
Earlier in his career Nielsen established international subsidiaries and served as managing director for leasing operations in the Baltics, Hungary and Romania.
Nielsen said he was joining Acquis because its solutions for leasing combined equipment insurance, outsourced administration and claims management, which he believed reduced risk and administrative complexity while creating new revenue opportunities for leasing providers.
He characterised the proposition as particularly suitable for mid-market players in the region, whose portfolios he described as diverse and granular.
