Barclays Corporate is set to strengthen its
asset finance division with three new hires.

Richard Pretty joins as a relationship
director within the Strategic Asset Finance team, focusing on
big-ticket deals for the Barclays Corporate’s clients outside the
UK. Prior to this, Pretty worked for IBM Global Financing.

Previously at Lombard, Rodney McCann joins the
asset finance team as a regional sales director in Northern
Ireland, where he will provide asset finance solutions to the
bank’s new and existing clients. 

Thirdly, Rob Cox joins Barclays Corporate as a
relationship director, to be focused on technology assets and
receivables finance for multi-national corporates. Prior to this
appointment, Cox worked for Asset Advantage.

Barclays Corporate, said: “Asset finance has a crucial role to play

the growth of our own business over the past 12 months. 

“There is still a lack of confidence among
corporates which continue to deleverage and defer capital
investments but this cannot carry on indefinitely and when
confidence returns these new appointments will enable us to offer
increased levels of support and expertise to our clients.”
