Vauxhall Commercial Vehicles has
won a leasing contract for 523 Movano vans from Home Delivery
Network Limited (HDNL). Before placing its order with Vauxhall,
HDNL, which has a total fleet of 2,600 vans, had a six-month
evaluation exercise using 58 Vauxhall vans.

“These vehicles have been well
received by our depot managers and drivers,” said Brian Wheadon,
director of fleet and facilities management at Home Delivery
Network Limited.

Delivery of the Movano vans is
currently under way to the 58 HDNL depots across the UK from which
they will operate. Service support for the Movano vans will be
split equally between HDNL’s own workshops and Vauxhall’s
dealers.

Swedish search and rescue helicopter
financing

In October 2008 Linklaters acted for SEB
Finans AB on the purchase and long-term helicopter financing of two
Sikorsky S76A helicopters from Heli-One Leasing Inc, a subsidiary
of CHC Helicopter Corporation for the domestic search and rescue
operations of a Swedish operator.
This is not the first deal of this kind it has done. Two years ago
it also acted for SEB Finans AB on a long-term helicopter financing
of a Sikorsky S92 helicopter for the UK search and rescue operation
of CHC Scotia Limited. The structure included a residual value
guarantee from the lessee and the manufacturer as well as various
security, purchase option and financial covenant arrangements.

Aircraft portfolio financing

Acted for DAE Capital, a division of Dubai
Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) Ltd., on its acquisition and financing
of a portfolio of 21 aircraft from GE Commercial Aviation Services.
They are currently leased to 11 airlines based in 10 different
jurisdictions. Eight A330-200 aircraft with Emirates are on sale
and leaseback.

aircraft of which 22 were Export Credit Agency-backed financings
involving a variety of structures such as off balance sheet
financings, Japanese Operating Lease financings, interim financing,

14 aircraft, including Airbus Corporate Jets, Boeing Business Jets,

structures and aircraft registered in a variety of jurisdictions
