Alta Group, Latin America, CEO
Rafael Castillo-Triana said: “We have reinforced
our senior management team to support clients operating in Latin
America, especially in Brazil, Mexico, and Colombia.”

John Neil
Dodds
, who joined Alta in 2009, has been made senior
managing director, leader of the vendor financing practice for
Latin America and related emerging markets. He has also been made
co-manager of coverage for the southern cone of the
Americas.

Guillermo
Berretta
is now senior managing director, leader of the
M&A and funding procurement practice. He is co-manager of the
southern cone of the Americas, alongside Dodds.

Raul Valencia Del
Toro
joined as senior managing director, leader of the
legal advisory practice and country manager for Mexico. He is
supported by Carlos Javier Ruiz Priego, who is
executive manager for the legal practice and the Mexican equipment
leasing and financing market.

professional development division of The Alta Group, Latin America,
and regional manager for Central America and the
Caribbean.

Arnaldo
Pieruccini
is now senior managing director, and country
manager for Brazil. He first joined in 2003, and is assisted by
Luiz Gastao Leaes Filho, a Brazilian
attorney.

 

Bibby Financial
Services

finance provider Bibby Financial Services has appointed
Dave Golding and Andy Leopold as
sales directors for the northern and southern regions.

Golding and Leopold, who will
operate from Bibby’s Manchester and London offices respectively,
will lead their regional sales teams, managing existing sales,
overseeing the company’s new business drive, and developing and
supporting Bibby’s UK network of intermediaries.
Golding was promoted from the role of sales director for Manchester
and Liverpool, and will assume responsibility for sales in northern
England and Scotland.

lead the regional sales team in the Midlands, London and the south

There have also been four
further internal promotions within the sales division. Paul
Fraser
and Stephen Johnson will become of

do the same in Hastings and London.

 

Hitachi Capital Business
Finance

Hitachi Capital Business Finance
has appointed Kelvin Briggs as marketing
manager.
Briggs, who has previously worked at companies including Volvo
Trucks, Lombard, Alliance & Leicester and GE, has been taken on
to support the company’s growth in business asset finance.
He has more than 35 years of experience and will be working towards
creating an “effective and cost efficient marketing strategy”, the
company said.

head of sales at Hitachi Capital Business Finance, said: “We are
delighted to have Kelvin joining the team.

“His energy and clear
understanding of customer needs and expectations will further
enhance the company’s drive to deliver quality services and raise
awareness of what the industry needs.”

Norton Folgate

City-based brokerage Norton
Folgate has appointed two new staff from St Helens Finance.
Paul Murray joins as associate director of
business finance, and Ellie Hoad as business
development manager for professions finance. The news follows the
company’s return to profit for the financial year ending March
2011.

 

Alphabet

Sinclair
, director of the UK arm of car leasing and
management company Alphabet, is to take up a new role with Alphabet
International.
Based in Munich, he will be responsible for co-ordinating
Alphabet’s international business development plans, including
restructuring the business and its products.

Sinclair joined Alphabet (GB)
Ltd in 2000 and led the business during 2009 and 2010 – its most
profitable years to date.

He said. “As the company
continues to go from strength to strength, this is a very exciting
time for me to join the international management team.”

 

Leasedrive Velo
Group

Leasedrive Velo Group has
promoted Joe Howick from sales director to the
newly-created position of rental management director.

Commercial director
Roddy Graham said: “During his 15 years with the
company, Joe has made a significant contribution to the growth of
the overall business.

“His knowledge of the rental
market, along with his undoubted sales skills, has ensured he has
been a major force behind the specific development and success of
our rental management division.”

Howick will now be responsible
for operations and sales within the rental management
division.
He has been sales director since 2003, having joined Countrywide,
then part of Leasedrive, as sales manager in 1996.

Before that, he was sales
director at Convinflow and has also worked as a sales manager for
Wyatt & Sons. Before entering business, Howick was a full-time
golfer and assistant golf professional for nearly two
years.

 

New Leaf Search

New Leaf Search has appointed
Marta Sekieta as a recruitment consultant to
strengthen their asset finance and leasing recruitment team
focusing on the EMEA region.

Sekieta is a recent graduate
with an MA in Economics and speaks four languages.
