Invigors has appointed fleet leasing expert Julian Humphreys as
associate in order to expand its asset specialisms. Humphreys will
consult on mergers, acquisitions and fleet, and on other areas of
leasing.

He is credited with turning around
Masterlease’s Private Label Leasing operations in the UK from loss
to profit within two years, and for developing a joint venture
leasing business between General Motors and Masterlease.

Humphreys played a lead role in the
£500m (€589m) sale of Masterlease to General Motors in 1999.

 

Key Equipment
Finance

Key Equipment Finance has named Brian
Madison as senior vice-president, US vendor alliances.
Madison joins from Microsoft, where he was general manager of
Microsoft Financing. His experience includes management positions
with Citigroup’s CitiCapital Commercial Finance, Mellon US Leasing
and GE Capital’s vendor finance business.

 

LeasePlan UK

joined LeasePlan UK as brand director for FleetLine, the company’s
specialist small fleet division. Carr has more than 10 years’
experience in the fleet industry, most recently as regional
director at LeasePlan’s sister franchise brand Network. Prior to
that, he was general manager of sales at FleetLine.

Carr will be working closely with
LeasePlan UK’s commercial director Matthew Dyer.

 

Lombard

Lombard has appointed Gary Leitch as
managing director of its corporate asset finance business,
overseeing customers with turnover of £25m or more.

Leitch has 23 years’ experience in
asset finance, including 11 years as a Lombard relationship manager
to corporate and SME customers.

He was also head of large corporates
at Lombard, and head of transaction structuring and documentation
in operations.

 

Opus Mitchell

Sophie Boyle (née Major) has been
appointed senior recruitment consultant at Opus Mitchell, the
invoice finance, asset finance and banking recruitment firm.

Boyle will focus on positions in asset
and vendor finance, and on broker recruitment, based out of Opus
Mitchell’s Gloucester and London offices. She has 8 years’
experience in recruitment including roles at Lombard and Lloyds
TSB.

 

Tusker

specialist Tusker has appointed Phil Arnold as new business
development manager. Arnold joins from Ford Financial Services,
where he was manager of business sales.

In his new role, he will contribute to
developing SS4C, the firm’s salary sacrifice scheme.

 

Zenith Provecta

Zenith Provecta has promoted Tim
Buchan to chief executive officer as part of a management
reshuffle.

There are three other appointments:

business development director.

 

ELFA

The US Equipment Leasing and Finance
Association (ELFA) has unveiled its new board of directors.

David Merrill, president of Fifth
Third Leasing Company, is the new chairman and Crit DeMent, CEO of
LEAF Financial Corporation, is chairman-elect. Other members of the
ELFA board are: Tom Askounis, president of Askounis & Darcy;
Stan Herkelman, president of Great-
America Leasing Corporation; Fred Sasser, president of Chicago
Freight Car Leasing; and Jud Snyder, president of M&I Equipment
Finance.

 

CHP Consulting

Justin Cooper, one of the founders of
CHP Consulting, has left the lease software provider to pursue
personal interests.

Cooper remains a shareholder in the
company and will work with the board over the next 12 months to
hand over his responsibilities, which include CHP Consulting’s
North American business.

He will also continue to represent CHP
at industry events and complete the final year of his term as an
ELFA director.
