Test equipment leasing company Microlease continues to be active
following its funding boost earlier this year, signing an agreement
with instrumentation manufacturer Agilent to sell its equipment
direct to end users.

Under the new scheme, Microlease will be Agilent’s sole
“Authorised Technology Partner” in the UK and Ireland, taking on
seven sales staff and one sales manager from Agilent as part of the
deal.

The agreement, says Microlease CEO Nigel Brown, will help to
further Microlease’s three-year strategy of organic growth.

He predicts that Microlease, expected to achieve £30 million
(€33.3 million) in turnover this financial year, could boost
this figure to £45 million in 2010/2011 thanks to the Agilent
agreement.

He commented “This new agreement is intended to provide easier
access to Agilent electronic test and measurement products and
services. We believe we can add considerable value for current and
new Agilent customers through our consulting, technical and support
services, in addition to our rental services and allied financial
solutions.”
