BNP Paribas Lease Group (BPLG) has won two
major vendor finance agreements with global software provider SAP
covering the UK and India.

The Paris-headquartered lessor won a public
tender to develop SAP Financing’s activity in the UK (which is
SAP’s second largest market in the EMEA region) last month. Since
then, BPLG UK has already won 18 deals for a total of £3 million
(€3.42 million).

Martin Ardern, sales director for IT markets
at BPLG Technology Solutions UK, commented: “BPLG has been selected
for its understanding of their environment and its capacity to
sponsor the total scope of their business.”

The new partnership addresses both direct
sales to large corporate customers and indirect sales via SAP
partners to provide Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) software
financing solutions, BPLG said.

Earlier this month, the Indian arm of the
group, SREI BNP Paribas, also signed a vendor finance agreement
with SAP’s Indian business – which is one of the largest SAP
entities worldwide in terms of licence revenue and customer
acquisition.

An in-depth analysis of BPLG will be
published in the March edition of
Leasing Life.
