Boom lift manufacturer Aichi is using lease purchase options on
new products to entice investment by short term rental firms, in
the hope of securing its brand in the UK marketplace.

For a limited period, first imports of the new 12m and 14m
Global Series boom lifts into the UK will be available on flexible
payment terms, including purchase, lease or rental options.

The objective, according to Aichi, is to “get units on the
ground in the UK, test reaction and gather feedback.” A
spokesperson said.

Although Aichi’s platforms are at the higher end of the boom
lift price range, the company thinks the new units will be a sound
fleet option for rental firms due to their reputation for
reliability, and maintenance of high residual values.

Aichi booms are well established in the U.S and European rental
markets, where they are often used in the shipbuilding
industry.
