Perhaps the shimmering of a heat haze in the

Somehow, however realistic it might be, the
photograph sent to us showing three rows of temporary-looking

work.
Was the camera lens a little wider might we
just glimpse a pensioner, headscarf wrapped tightly around a

Toilet humour
Earlier this month Leasing Life was a
frenzy of journalistic activity – even more so than usual.
The full force of the editorial team’s
collective knowledge and experience was strained; there was much
scratching of heads, furrowed brows and chewing of biros as we
tried to think of toilet puns.
Opportunities to flex our scatological
vocabularies are few and far between in financial reporting so
imagine our delight when an email arrived heralding the news
Barclays Corporate had provided asset finance
to environmental waste company Universal Group to purchase
portable toilets and a new tanker.
Here are a few of our favourite headlines from
an afternoon’s hard labour:
Toilet firm flushed with
cash
Banker’s tanker in poop
scoop
Barclays spend a penny with
Universal
Six-figure paddle to get company out a
creek
Barclays throw cash down the
toilet
Bank pays six-figures for truck loads of … you
get the picture.
