Equipment auctioneer Euro Auctions has set up shop in the US with its first sale scheduled for early 2013.
The Northern Ireland-based auctioneer, which specialises in used construction and industrial machinery, has acquired an auction site near Atlanta in the South-Eastern state of Georgia a year after opening a site in Australia.

Euro Auctions also has two sites in the UK, one in Germany and one in Spain.
Jonnie Keys, general manager of Euro Auctions, said the firm has built up strong relationships in the US, previously working with US-based auction companies as well as local machinery and equipment firms, and had long intended to enter the market fully.
"Plans have always hinged on finding a suitable facility," Keys said, who added the site, formerly home to vehicle auctioneer ADESA, was in an excellent location in "the hub of the American equipment industry".
