UK commercial banking group Close Brothers has formed a new leasing and rentals division by amalgamating three business divisions which operated under the Close Brothers Asset Finance banner.
Close Brothers Leasing, Close Brewery Rentals and Close Brothers Commercial Vehicle Solutions will come together under the leadership of Neil Davies, who will be promoted from managing director of Close Brothers Leasing to chief executive of the new division, to be called Close Brothers Leasing and Rentals.

Davies described it as a "very exciting opportunity" and said: "Our aim is to allow increased focus on the opportunity the rentals market presents. We plan to grow this business relatively quickly and the restructure will help us to achieve that."
Other appointments include Paul Bartley and Peter Godwin as managing director and commercial director respectively of Close Brothers Leasing and Rentals and Paul Sherman as managing director of Close Brewery Rentals.
