The lead board advisor of the Leases project for the International Accounting Standard Board (IASB), Jan Engström, is to address the Captives Forum at its quarterly meeting on 12 December.
Engström joined the Board in 2004 after a 30-year career with Volvo, the last 10 years of which he served on the Volvo Group Management Board.

Alan Leesmith, secretary of the Captives Forum, said the group was "delighted" Engström would address its members and exchange views with manufacturer finance representatives.
"Mr Engström will be coming hot from a joint IASB and FASB Board meeting and we shall be extremely interested to hear his views on their latest consideration of the proposed Leases accounting standard," said Leesmith.
"We are pleased to be able to participate in an opportunity for members to express views on issues particularly relevant to manufacturers as part of the Boards’ Outreach program."
