United Trust Bank (UTB) has hired three new staff for its asset finance team in a bid to grow its UK market share.
John Cullingford joins from Shawbrook Bank as business development manager for the North England and Scotland. He will be responsible for maintaining established broker ties in the two regions as well as developing new relationships.

Peter Price joins UTB’s London office as asset finance underwriter, joining from ING Lease where he was underwriting manager for seven years.
Also in the London office, Sarah Bowyer has been appointed asset finance administrator charged with managing the proposals process. Bowyer joins from Société Générale Equipment Finance and has also held roles with Lombard.
Martin Nixon, head of Asset Finance at UTB, said the appointments were a sign of the bank’s continued investment in the asset finance business its ambition to develop its market share.
"With a bigger team and by developing our broker contacts in the North of England and Scotland we aim to significantly increase our lending over the next 12 months while maintaining the high service standards our broker partners have come to expect," he said.
