De Lage Landen expands CNH Russian vendor deal
The two companies have entered into an arrangement to offer retail finance options under the CNH Capital brand to agriculture and construction customers In 2010 the Rabobank-owned lessor established a vendor agreement with the CNH Group, a manufacturer of agricultural and construction equipment majority owned by Fiat, active across the Russian Federation.

The two companies expect to bring more than 180,000 vehicles to the European dealer market every year. Avral launched MotorTrade as an internet showroom to offer its ex-lease vehicles to car dealers in 2009 and it is currently available in most of the major European markets the company operates in.
Watson Farley & Williams boost asset finance
Law firm Watson, Farley & Williams (WFW) has expanded its asset finance team with two new partners. Nicola Davies and Samantha Yardley have both joined WFWs London office from commercial law firm Berwin Leighton Paisner. Davies has experience in shipping, aviation, energy, project finance and cross-border leasing transactions and was a partner at BLP for 24 years.
Marie-Christine Ducholet takes the lead at SGEF
Ducholet replaces Jean-Marc Mignerey as head of the French banks leasing division following his retirement which was announced this summer. Ducholet, a member of Societe Generales Specialised Financial Services and Insurance Management Committee, has held several roles within the groups structured finance unit since she joined the bank in 1985.
NetSol partners Investec to buy Virtual Lease
IT firm NetSol Technologies and UK lessor Investec Asset Finance (AF) have jointly acquired UK-based leasing and asset finance management business Virtual Lease Services (VSL). California-based NetSol has taken a 51% stake and Investec AF a 49% stake in the business purchased from German software and management company GFKL VLS, which provides back-office management services to more than 30 customers across the UK finance and leasing industry, already uses NetSols Leasesoft system for accounting and administration.
CHP joins the French finance trade body
Affiliation with the ASF, which includes all French leasing institutions as members, will allow CHP to tailor its ALFA Systems software more closely to the French market, the company said in a statement. Andrew Denton, CHP Consultings chief operating officer, said: As a member of the ASF, CHPs first responsibility is to satisfy the needs of its clients who operate in and around France, but being involved officially in the French leasing industry is also in line with our global expansion plans, and confirming our credentials means much more potential to implement our class-leading software platform with new clients.

Global software company SunGard has acquired asset finance software solution 42 from New Zealand-based software developer Northern Arch, creating a new asset finance and leasing division for the company. The acquisition expands on the partnership between SunGard and Northern Arch, which began in 2008, to grow the customer base for Northern Archs product SunGard aims to continue that expansion by taking the 42 product to a global customer base through its distribution network
Loan to Turkish fleet firm will boost hybrids
Intercity, with a 25% share of the market, is the countrys largest car leasing business and will use the syndicated loan to expand into the SME sector an increase the number of hybrid cars in its managed fleet.
New UK star in Cassiopae constellation
The Paris-based specialist in finance software paid an undisclosed cash amount for 100% of the shares of Field Solutions and took ownership on 27 September. Emmanuel Gillet, president of Cassiopae said the acquisition was about getting a greater market share for Cassiopae in the UK and Ireland where Field Solutions provides pricing, origination, and contract administration software to banking and finance customers.
Experian sets up shop as the broker’s broker
The company behind the Credit Expert website has launched SME Finance Finder where businesses can search for brokers and lenders offering finance options including asset finance, invoice finance and commercial mortgages. The website aims to match businesses with a broker or lender who can provide the most suitable finance option by helping SMEs understand their credit profile and could raise the profile of alternative funding in the UK.
