Demand takes Euro Auctions Down Under
The Northern Ireland-based auctioneer, which sells used equipment including ex-lease, will open its first operation in the southern hemisphere at the beginning of next year. Euro Auctions, the largest UK-headquartered auctioneer of construction plant and industrial equipment, also has sites in Leeds in the UK, Dormagen in Germany and opened a site in Valencia, Spain a year ago.
US leasing upbeat despite October decline
The US leasing market experienced a 16% decline in business from September to October yet the industry outlook is positive according to figures from the Equipment Leasing and Finance Association (ELFA). The October figure is up 22% year-on-year from $4.9bn for the same period in 2010 while the 2011 year-to-date new business volume is up 25% on the first ten months of last year

GE Capital lend gets wheels moving in buyout
GE Capital has arranged a £15m invoice finance facility for a management buyout at commercial tyre firm Kings Road Tyres. The deal, which is secured against the companys receivables and inventory over a three year term, has enabled the companys management to acquire a majority stake in the business. Kings Road Tyres is a wholesaler and distributor of tyres for cars, commercial trucks, vans, agricultural and construction vehicles throughout the UK and Ireland and operates from a network of 12 branch depots with headquarters in Middlesex.
