Deutsche Leasing boosts board
Germanys Deutsche Leasing has appointed Rainer Weis and Matthias Laukin to its management board Weis will be responsible for Deutsche Leasings fleet business and for the cooperation between the lessor and the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe saving banks. He has extensive experience with the savings bank organization in different regions and functions and will start on January 1, 2011 at the latest.
IDS enhances ProFinia
International Decision Systems (IDS) has incorporated Vertex Indirect Tax O Series, a tax solution by UK tax software specialist Vertex, with its ProFinia lease software. The integrated solution will allow leasing companies to manage all tax events across the transaction lifecycle, providing automation, compliance and reporting. IDS director of product management Katie Emmel said the tax solution had been developed to address the challenges of ever-changing tax regulations that put a large burden on the tax departments of equipment finance companies.
Cassiopae V4 to BRD Sogelease
Asset finance software provider Cassiopae has rolled out its Cassiopae V4 software to BRD Sogelease IFN SA, the Romanian lessor owned by Socit Gnrale (SG). As part of an agreement signed between Cassiopae and SG last year, V4 will also be installed at several SG sites worldwide In Romania, Cassiopae V4 software is handling contract activation, mid-term adjustments, asset management, end of contract, delinquency management and management of local legal and accounting requirements.

Arval buys la Caixa’s vehicle leasing arm
BNP Paribas-owned Arval has agreed to acquire the vehicle leasing arm of Spanish savings bank la Caixa It will pay 62m for the fleet management and contract hire business. The deal gives Arval a total fleet of 85,000 cars and vans, combining Arvals 48,000 vehicles with CaixaRentings 35,000 vehicles
