SMMT announces CV registrations down 31% According to figures published by the society of motor manufacturers and traders (SMMT), CV registrations continued to plunge in October, with the truck market beginning to follow the lead of ailing van sales volumes. Commercial vehicle registrations for October were 31.1 percent down compared to the same month in 2007, and were reduced 4.4 percent over the rolling year, to a total of 367,124.
