As well as providing standard leasing and hire purchase products, Optare Direct will provide short-term rental offerings, as well as products including refurbishment, maintenance and parts provision

600 Group boosts sales ad scheme

British machine tool giant 600 Group is about to strengthen its sales aid programme with Close Asset Finance, as part of series of changes that have seen the group restructure itself to meet the unique challenges of a depressed manufacturing climate. Zero percent finance offers might be the next item on the menu for 600, which currently offers a variety of finance packages through a joint venture with Close called 600 Finance. Finance is sold through distribution arm 600 Centre and is available on products including Colchester-Harrison lathes, Electrox laser marking systems, workholding systems from Pratt Burnerd International and Crawford Collets, and Gamet bearings.

Asset funding takes off for subsidiary of Japanese company

Citizen Machinery UK, a subsidiary of Citizen Machinery Japan, has seen great progress with its asset funding programme, with sales penetration rising from 75 percent of its £12 million (13.7 million) annual turnover in 2007 to nearly 95 percent this year.
