Our client is seeking a Group Business Development Manager – UK Gtr London / SE Eng (ref: J1900) to identify new opportunities to work with Group companies to promote expansion into Europe and offer tailor made financing solutions to group entities and their end customers including leasing, vendor finance programs, wholesale finance facilities and cash management solutions.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Work closely with senior management in devising business development strategy.
Identify new and develop existing Group relationships in the UK and Europe to add value by providing innovative financial solutions Group entities and their customer base.
Financial solutions may include provision of Vendor finance programs (either directly or through 3rd party partner), offering end customer leasing facilities (either directly or cross border), financing of Managed Service Contracts (through purchase of receivables structure) or providing stock finance/cash flow management solutions to support business growth.
Manage the delivery of the financial solutions including initial transaction structuring, customer pricing, negotiation of customer documentation and pay out process.
Identify new sectors for market entry and develop the products to meet the needs of these customers including pricing and structure of the program.
Write and deliver proposals and presentations to prospective customers and Group management teams.
Liaise with banking partners and Group companies across Europe to support the continuous development and improvement of existing programs.
Act as an account manager and liaise with existing customers and finance partners to work through any new proposals, requests or issues.

This role will involve European travel. The post holder must be free and willing to travel regularly.
Educated to degree level ideally in a related discipline i.e. Business Studies, Economics, Finance.
Fluency in another European language in addition to English (especially French).
A Legal, Accounting or Treasury background would be ideal.
Minimum 5 years' experience of working in a corporate sales environment within the banking/ financial services/ leasing industry, with roles that covered working with customers of varying nationalities.
Able to demonstrate experience and track record of dealing with customers and vendors in both the UK and European markets.
Understanding of vendor finance programs and 3rd party risk sharing structures is essential for this role.
The post holder will need to be able to confidently deliver presentations at C-Level as well as talk through the customer's financials as part of the credit review process.
