Heathcote’s discovery of the health advantages associated with bone broth spurred her to produce it regularly by gathering “ingredients only from British organic farms”, according to a statement from the company.

Over the years, Borough Broth has been distributing its products across major supermarket chains such as Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, and Ocado.

Intending to sustain its growth and meet consumer demand, Borough Broth has turned to eCapital’s Invoice Finance service.

The collaboration is expected to provide Borough Broth with the capital required to support its initiatives, including expansion and product development.

Heathcote said: “For a business like ours, which has grown organically over ten years, invoice finance has been fundamental. It gives us access to funds as soon as we invoice, which means we can reinvest immediately into production, packaging and innovation – without waiting weeks or months to get paid.”

“eCapital took the time needed to really understand our business. And not just the numbers, but the pace and pressures of the food and drink world. They’ve always been responsive, and that support has been invaluable as we’ve scaled.”

eCapital relationship manager Liz Smith stated: “Borough Broth is exactly the kind of ambitious, founder-led business we love to support.

“They needed funding flexibility to capitalise on the growing demand they’ve created without giving up control of their vision. It’s been incredibly rewarding to support them through this exciting growth phase, and we’re excited to continue backing their journey as they scale further.”
