Haydock Finance has named Andy Taylor as sales director, a new role to the business.
Taylor hails from Widnes and has joined Haydock as sales director following a career which already spans over 20 years in asset-based lending. He will report to John Jenkins, Haydock’s chief executive officer. 
Taylor’s career in the industry first began with NWS Bank and includes stints with GE Capital Equipment Finance, over 13 years with market-leading ING Lease UK and more recently Hitachi Capital Business Finance where he was head of sales, responsible for broker, vendor, block discounting and stock finance.
During his tenure at Hitachi, Taylor was directly accountable for growing the company’s own book from around £250m to well over £1bn, said Haydock.
In this new post, Andy will take responsibility for structuring Haydock’s national sales strategy which will underpin Haydock’s growth plans brought about by private equity investment announced in 2018.
This strategy will involve further developing and improving current core broker offering and identifying, developing and executing strategic opportunities in structured finance.
Capitalising on Haydock’s vast knowledge and experience in asset finance, the company will also build a viable and competitive vendor offering.
John Jenkins, chief executive officer, said: “We know that Taylor’s wealth of expertise, industry knowledge and proven track record will enable him to develop a compelling sales strategy which will support our aggressive growth plans.”

In January of this year, the business appointed John Jenkins to take over as chief executive .

In April, Haydock Finance promoted a member of staff internally to the freshly-created role of commercial credit manager.

Haydock appointed Russell Mason-Hall, who held the role of senior underwriter with the company for almost 5 years.

This role was initiated at Haydock following the continued growth of their asset finance portfolio, said the company.

The UK SME asset finance provider said that it had provided in excess of £20m of new asset finance facilities to businesses across the UK in March 2019.
