Commercial finance business Independent Growth Finance (IGF) has appointed a managing director to lead its commercial business.

Steve Websdale has joined IGF’s board as managing director, commercial.

As a member of the IGF Group board of directors, Steve will be responsible for IGFs commercial activities, including marketing and development of the invoice finance business unit.

Steve has over 30 years’ experience in commercial finance, with over 20 years at board level with Alex Lawrie (Lloyds), Capital Bank (Bank of Scotland) and Venture Finance (ABN AMRO).

IGF said its core products included the financing of unpaid receivables, inventory, plant & machinery and property, and cashflow loans.

IGF said it had a 180% year-on-year increase in the funding provided to businesses across the country.
