Stephen Bassett has been appointed chairman of the Asset Finance Professional Association (AF-PA), a role he had already held between 2013 and 2015.
He takes on responsibilities from Johnnie Halliday, who had held the role on a voluntary basis since 2014, next to his position as director of sales at Linedata.

Bassett has been executive director at Arkle Finance since 2017. His previous career includes executive roles at Schroder Leasing, Lombard and First National Bank, as well as chief executive of Wyse Leasing.
He led the asset finance division of the National Association of Commercial Finance Brokers (NACFB) between 2007 and 2009.
Bassett said: “I would like to thank Johnnie Halliday for his hard work as chairman. Members should rightly feel thoroughly proud of the association for its work in supporting so many deserving charities.
“We would welcome any new members who wish to join and support our work raising valuable funds for good causes.”
