BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions has appointed Jean-Michel Boyer as chief executive officer for its UK operation.

Boyer will take over from Tristan Watkins, who was appointed programme manager of BNP Paribas North American Growth Plan, a joint initiative with the group’s subsidiary Bank of the West to expand its equipment finance business in the US and Canada over the next three years.

Boyer has spent over 30 years’ at the BNP Paribas Group, and joined the French division of BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions in 2009 as head of equipment and leasing solutions.  He became general manager of BNP Paribas Rental Solutions Trucks in 2013.

He most recently served as business development director of the international business lines equipment and logistics solutions department at BNP Paribas’ French Division and president of CLAAS Financial Services, after being appointed in 2015.

As UK chief executive officer, Boyer will be responsible for leading and managing team of 450 employees, and the oversight of customer relationships.
