The newly-created role will see Scalzone responsible for developing Hampshire Trust’s asset finance broker business, through enhancing broker service with IT investments, and widening the bank’s proposition.

He said: “It is an exciting stage in the bank’s journey and I am looking forward to helping shape the strategic direction of the division as we head into the next phase of development.”

Scalzone will report to Jon Maycock, who was appointed managing director of asset finance at Hampshire Trust in February this year.

Maycock said: “We are delighted to welcome Vincenzo on board. There are a wealth of opportunities that the team here are well positioned to capitalise on and Vincenzo will help to drive the Asset Finance broker business forward.”
