Tower said it had created the role to finance the IT marketplace with a particular focus on software, and Phelps will be tasked with shaping this soft asset department.

Phelps said: “Tower are now able to work with Vendors who sell their software via the Cloud or on Subscription, using a suite of products dedicated to this market. With Tower being both an own-book funder as well as a broker, this flexibility is further enhanced and this was key to me joining.”

Ben King, head of sales said: “We are delighted with the appointment of Scott Phelps to the Tower Leasing team. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge and will be pivotal in increasing our presence within the IT sector. He represents a missing piece of the puzzle for Tower and we look forward to Towers  IT offering and presence growing within the marketplace”.
