IT lessor and management company 3 Step IT has appointed Jason Skidmore as managing director of its operations in the UK, taking over from Jon Davies and Peter Hetherington who established the UK office in 2005.
Prior to joining 3 Step IT, Skidmore worked in GE Capital UK’s vendor finance division as commercial leader, and Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) channel director at Dell Financial Services.

Skidmore said: “The UK represents one of the largest markets for the 3 Step IT Group, and we have ambitious plans to invest and grow the business.
“This is a time of transition for the industry where traditional funding models need to innovate to keep pace with customers ever-changing requirements.”
Carmen Ene, 3 Step IT’s group chief executive officer, said: “We see IT financing, especially value-added financing, in a state of flux. There is a clear trend towards access, rather than ownership, to use a wide variety of assets.
“We believe this will drive greater integration of services into financing and IT life cycle financing in particular.”
