Italease’s main shareholder Banco Popolare is
to launch a buyout offer for the troubled Italian lessor.
The banking group, which already owns 31
percent of Italease, said it will offer €1.50 a share for the
company.

It will buy out shares from at least three other major
shareholders of the company.

It plans a major restructuring which will involve a delisting
from the Milan stock exchange and the creation of new companies to
take over Italease’s major leasing and factoring activities.
