Lombard, the asset finance arm of Royal Bank of
Scotland, has signed a deal with coach firm Swans Travel, worth £2
million (€2.2 million), to upgrade its fleet with
environmentally-friendly vehicles.
Swans Travel, based near Manchester, has bought
15 Mercedes Benz Tourismo coaches to replace older models. The new
vehicles are fitted with fuel efficient engines to help reduce
emissions.

“It is essential that we continually invest in our fleet,” said
Kieran Swindells, Swans Travel’s managing director. “Our strategy
is to have the most modern vehicles while considering our impact on
the environment.”

The coach firm, established in 1978, currently operates a fleet
of 30 coaches. Its clients include schools, colleges, universities,
sports clubs and businesses across the north west of England.
