Trafford General Hospital, part of
Trafford Healthcare NHS Trust, has signed a deal with Siemens
Financial Services for an innovative floor-cleaning system, which
requires no chemicals.
The equipment, the Jonmaster ultra microfibre
trolley cleaning system, will be provided to Trafford General
Hospital under a three-year operating lease agreement, in
association with JohnsonDiversey, an international cleaning and
sanitation solution provider which is part of the Johnson Family
group. The contract includes the replacement of spare parts and

“We were keen to get Jonmaster in place
because of its infection prevention benefits, but the cost of
purchasing it would be relatively high,” said Kerry Hill, assistant
facilities manager at Trafford Healthcare NHS Trust.
“We felt a lease was the ideal solution
because it gives us a lower overall fixed cost over the length of
the contract, with a number of options at the end.”
It is the first time the Jonmaster is being
leased to an NHS Trust.
“More and more Trusts are realising that, like
private sector businesses, you do not need to own assets to be able
to use them,” said David Martin, general manager public sector at
Siemens Financial Services.
