After signing the cooperation agreement, Nigel Schroder, finance
director at Isuzu Truck UK, said: “Contract hire has become more
popular in recent times, even at the lighter end of the market. But
it is of far more importance to operators of vehicles above 7.5
tonnes GVW.”
This is Artegy’s first partnership with a manufacturer. Ronny
Seidel, the managing director of Artegy and head of transport
market at BNP Paribas, commented: “We have reorganized Artegy in
order to dedicate part of the business to the vendor relationship.
This is a new sector for us, as our business used to be focused on
end-users. Through our partnership with Isuzu, we can now offer
contract-hire and fleet management services from one truck to
fleets of one hundred.”
At the same time, Isuzu has been nominated for International
Truck of the Year 2009. The nomination of Isuzu’s new N Series
truck range is the company’s first ever appearance on the shortlist
for the award.
“It’s a measure of how far Isuzu has come in Europe, for the new
range to force its way onto the shortlist for the most prestigious
truck award in the industry,” said Andy Salter, chairman of the
International Truck of the Year jury.
