Cisco Capital finances wireless
technology for NHS

Cisco Capital, the financial services arm of networking
equipment supplier Cisco, has provided a lease facility to King’s
Collage Hospital NHS Foundation Trust for the installation of
campus-wide wireless infrastructure.

The new network, which offers communication and productivity
applications, includes wireless telephony and asset tracking, using
radio frequency identification (RFI) technolog to locate
equipment around the hospital campus.
Other leased equipment includes voice activation paging systems,
mobile communications devices to help medical staff review
information such as X-rays to colleagues, PCs and computers on
wheels.

Scot Gardner, operations director of public sector, Cisco UK
& Ireland said: “The demands of modern healthcare environments

responsiveness and security, enabling clinical staff to focus on
patients.”
