There has been a flurry of management changes among top lessors,
including the appointment of a new head of the UK arm of Siemens
Financial Services (SFS) after a 15 month recruitment process.
Paul Burgess has been appointed chief executive officer of
Fortis Lease UK with effect from April 1.He replaces Gerard Moon
who left the company at the end of March after some five years in
the post. Moon is understood to be looking for a new job in the
automotive sector.

Before his promotion Burgess was finance and operations manager
at Fortis. Its book has grown from £600m to £1.5bn in the last five
years.
James Gearey joins SFS after just over a year as director of
partnerships at Norwich Union Partnership. Before that he held
several roles, including a leasing related one, at General
Electric.
Jonathan Andrew headed up SFS’ UK business prior to his
promotion to head of Europe over a year ago. Since then the UK arm
has been managed jointly by Andrew and “other senior SFS staff
”.
Also, John Evans has been appointed executive vice president and
managing director for Key Equipment Finance’s international
operations. Also Melvin Ong has been promoted from vice president
of sales and marketing for Asia to general manager of the company’s
Asia Pacific businesses. It is also understood that a senior
appointment has been made at Microsoft Financing.
