Shire Leasing, an independent UK
equipment financier, has hit the £150m turnover mark for 2008 and
plans to contribute to Britain’s economy through corporate
expansion.
Leasing to a broad range of sectors including health and beauty,
security, catering and IT, the company will give an economic boost
to its region of Staffordshire, with 170 new employees and new
premises.

Shire Leasing has received accolades from Yorkshire Bank, which
has been its partner for 14 years. Paul Brooksbank, a partner at

The business started operations 18 years ago by cousins John
Worton and Martin Smith, who both have extensive leasing
backgrounds and now hold the role of chairman.
Worton said: “The business has grown rapidly and a strong and
focused management team has helped to make it possible.”
