Banco di Sardegna, part of Banca Popolare dell’Emilia Romagna, has
reported a net profit of €4.4m (£3m) for 2007. The company’s net
worth increased to €71.5m (£50m) from €68.3m (£47.8m) while its
leasing contracts pipeline exceeded for the first time €1bn
(£700bn) – an increase of 14.9 per cent. Sardaleasing wrote a total
of 223 real estate leases during the period for a combined total of
over €183m (£128m) – a 21.9 per cent increase. Its loan total
climbed by 30.1 per cent to a record high of €428m
(299m).
