German lessor IKB Leasing Group has reported a 23 per cent
increase year-on-year in new business on the back of an upturn in
equipment leasing and the launch of new products.
The company, a full-service leasing firm with operations in
France, central Europe as well as Germany, said its new business
volumes totalled €1.01bn at the end of March 2008, compared with
€817m in the same period last year. Its German arm saw new business
grow 20 per cent, from €621m to €747m.

the growth in business to an upturn in equipment leasing deals,
expansion of its contract hire capability, and its entry into short
term leasing.
